4 tbspground flaxseed(optional)
4 cups unsweetened almond milk (vanilla if you like)We love Malk or Three Trees!
2bananas frozen(optional for creaminess!)
4cupsice(optional for frothiness!)
Instructions
Smoothie Prep
First, if adding ½ banana to your smoothies for creaminess, peel and cut 2 or more bananas in half and lay a few inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Set in the freezer for at least an hour until the bananas are frozen.
Next, set out smoothie cups or containers for each individual smoothie, and put the ingredients in order of spinach, fruit, collagen, and any flaxseed if you are using it.
Smoothie Assembly
First, place ½ banana and ¼ cup of frozen mango in each cup. If the frozen banana doesn't fit in the cup, chop it into 1-inch coins. Next, add to the cup the following ingredients: ¼ of a large green apple (see ingredients for further instructions), ½ cup spinach, 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed, and 3 tablespoons of collagen. Place cups in the freezer until you wish to make the smoothie.
Finally, to blend, add 1 prepped cup to the blender, add 1 cup of almond milk and 1 cup of ice if desired, and then blend until smooth.
Cut apples into quarters and remove the core with seeds. If you are using a high-powered blender, you can keep skins on if you'd like. If you have smaller apples, cut them in half and use 1/2 of an apple per smoothie rather than a quarter.
